Welcome to the 1st & 2nd Grade Classroom!
I am the 1st and 2nd grade teacher. I have been teaching for 29 years, 24 of them at Boise Valley Adventist School. I received my AS degree in Child and Family Science from Loma Linda University, a BS in Elementary Education from Southwestern Adventist College and a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Northwest Nazarene University. Here at BVAS I have taught sign language, Pre-K and K, 1st grade, and 1st and 2nd grades combined. Both of my sons, Hauss and Joshua graduated from BVAS. I have been married for 39 years to Gary, (Yo Yo Pa) who loves to demonstrate yo yo tricks for the students at BVAS.
I grew up in Great Falls, Montana and have lived in Washington, California, Arizona and Idaho. Besides teaching, God and my family, I am interested in dachshunds, cockatiels, gardening, sign language, bike riding, reading biographies and historical fiction and learning about the Amish.
I am so thankful for the great staff, students and families at BVAS. I look forward to the Lord’s blessings each day as I work with Him to provide an enthusiastic learning environment.
